Most people appear not to understand us AB folk and I am coming to the comclusion that it is this biological complexity thing that is at work in us. It makes for a very sincere but definately chameleon like personality trait and whilst many of the other blood groups may have problems with understanding us I believe that we have the hardest time of it. Just look at JFK and Marilyn Munroe and the life story they had and maybe Princess Dianna she certainly had all of the hall marks of an AB person?
But then we are a new version of all of you put together so we will be able to understand you. but will find it difficult to live in a world that is created for the O & A group survival.
There are not many of us around but it will change over time I am told. Apparently the AB gene will supercede all of the others over thousands of years and it will become the norm in the lottery of life. Interesting thought but I find it very difficult to accept because of the wars that will take place in that time span.
Still hope this may be of help to all you unbelievers HA!
Post some more soon

Perhaps it might be a good idea to liken understanding of AB people to understanding modern times. How quickly do most people understand technology? How long does it take to learn how to use computers? In all of these 'things' most people grasp the idea with a little help. AB people are not so strange if you ask them what they mean by there statements or actions. Its a bit like using the help file on a PC. That way you and others might get a better understanding of our nature.
But as new people we are a bit like candles in the wind. and it is rather difficult for us to become creatures of habit or routine it simply doesnt seem to suit most of us. We are gen erally full of enthusiasm for all things we find interesting and tend to forgo any consequenses and just follow what interests us the most at the time.
We do seem to be political tho. some things just aggravate us to much and then I guess we just stand our ground or go away for good.
talk again soon Tom

My husband is an AB. He's a strong leader, but cordial and polite in his leadership at work. That attracts people, but he likes his privacy & likes to be left alone, especially if he is tired. He likes routine and is an on time person, unusual for a Greek *LOL*! The early reading I did about ABs in ER4YT seemed to indicate that they are charming, but do their own thing. They can fool others (not intentionally) who think they are very social, but in reality, they love their own space. The BTD has helped me to understand my hubby, but we must also be cautious not to label & stigmatize people. As a Christian, I know that God can change people and can go beyond our human understanding. As my chiro says, we are all individuals!! The fun thing about an AB husband is that we are a 4-type family and that keeps me learning about all the types! Sea salt & Light, Mrs "T" O+

It must be a strain at times to have four BT type people in your family. I came fvrom a family of four children all are AB Positive. Dad was AB Neg and mother is A Pos.
You are right about labeling it is very easy for people to just see black and white and we non of us needs necassarily to be born within a particular religious doctrine to use labeling to prove ourselves right!!!
AB people do really crave company but equally crave a lot of time on their own being creative planning, learning or indeed just leading via others.
But their will be exceptions to all of this. What does show up tho is the high levels of trauma we all seem to experience. I am currently seeing the same or similar problems in my neices and nephews who are mainly AB people. Other people I now of this blood group are pretty much the same.
Time will tell I think

Hiya Phillip! I just stumbled into this site and read your post. I got to say that you description of an AB person is right on at least for me. I enjoy being with people, but equally relish my private time. Tends to lead to frustration for my wife. I will be emersed into a social function one minute and quickly enjoy being alone for hours on end the next. I jump into anything that catches my interest with both feet without looking. I have so many hobbies it's rediculous. Now on the other hand my attention span can be limited. The quicker something tends to become monotonous and repeticious the quicker I am to walk away from it. It's actually nice to hear there are others out there like me. Now I can point to this and say "See! I'm NOT a nut case!" ANyway I will check out things later this evening when I get home.

I just thought I'd check out the other boards & saw your entry. I assume that the ABs are out doing their own thing!! I notice that even tho Os are the most common type, they seem to post even more often than their numbers would indicate. Someone ought to do a frequecy test on how often & how many of each type are posting! Come om ABs, let zgirl know what's up! Sea Salt & Light, Mrs "T" O+ PS Mr "T" (AB) is probably trying to take a nap in the attic away from us, B son is somewhere (a PhD student turning 30 next week), A son is planning to go & hang out (after being with his ill O grandpa), & Mrs "T", the O mama, is socializing on the computer, not thrilled about the dishes to be done!

Hi, Z-Girl, I've been er4mt'ing for many years now. My middle is much, much larger than it should be for a few reasons. First, how old are you? I'm in peri-menopause, so that could be part of it, and also I love my sweets. I don't eat a lot of them, but I'm not off them entirely. Most of all, though, I think it's stress. They've linked a stressful lifestyle to production of cortisol, which lodges in your middle. However, on the plus side, I haven't had bronchitis in several years, and my sinus troubles have been just to the bad headache level, not sinus infections anymore. What kind of diet are you following? ARe you limiting your whites -- sugar, flour, etc., and using whole grains and such? Let's talk -- maybe we can help each other lose some unwanted stuff!!!

Hi there--Well, I am blessed with fantastic genetics--in addition I am a clinical exercise physiologist! So, the way I see it is -- age really has nothing to do with it--even if we are going through the change we simply need to adjust our food consumption-and as you say watch what the heck we are putting in there!!!! I love a glass of red wine at dinner time (maybe 2) I love a piece of chocolate-on occassion--but the main issue for me is -- I just quit eatting for my fabulous type--simple! No it isn't simple--that is why I was looking for some AB power to slap some sense into my head about eatting for type girlfriend!!
So, last night lamb-yumm--tonight fish soup--yummy--got any good receipes for TYPE AB--hit me with them!!!
Please do not let your age get in the way of anything-adjust woman -- I will kick you in too when you need it?*%#@ or ok, if you ask.....
Later, Zgirl

One thing easy about you ABs--you can grab some bread & yogurt when you need some quick food. For us Os, there's very little quick food that's cheap! If you crave chocolate, maybe you can try drinking "black chocolate"--like black coffee, but with unsweetened cocoa powder. I like Ghirardelli. Since I have low blood sugar, I've been off sweet for over 20 years, but maybe you can give it a try. Also, I think that chocolate cravings are related to copper & magnesium deficiencies. Yeah girls, we need our support!! I don't check here very often, but I hope you keep posting & Hey, all you ABs out there--get with it & help this sister! Sea Salt & Light, Mrs "T" O+

How's it going? Another thing my husband figured out & I agree with is that lack of proper rest can contribute to obesity. I guess that is also true of stress. He works hard & tries to get enough rest, but doesn't. He's not a BTD nut like me & I don't push, but he eats a good percentage of compliant foods thru his natural likes & dislikes. He used to be skinny, but has been overweight in recent years & doesn't overeat or have a huge appetite like mine LOL!, altho he does eat. He nees more exercise, less stress & more rest--not always attainable!! Let's have more activity on this board! It is the best board I know of--user friendly & a very knowledgable moderator....& of course one of the most interesting topics around!!!!!!!!!!!! Sea Salt & Light, Mrs "T" O+

Hi, Zgirl -- sorry it took me so long to come back. I had a hard time finding this -- thought it was gone for good, but my AB friend showed me how to get here, in spite of the car detailing website now -- what's up with that?
Anyway, I've been putting it on in the middle, myself, even though I eat 99% for my type. I think it's portion control and sweets in my case, and lack of exercise. I have been using the elliptical machine lately, and make myself do 200 calories at level 5, several times a week. Yesterday I made it two days in a row -- that's huge for me. How about you?
We have O and two B's in our household, so mealtimes are difficult. Lots of turkey in all forms, that's for sure. No chicken, although my B children CRAVE it -- it seems especially bad for us. Got a big pack of turkey drums the other day and baked them with barbecue sauce (sauce added at the last 15 minutes so it wouldn't burn). I think a lot of it is stress, too, since it's all in the stomach area -- cortisol. I don't want to take drugs for that, but boy am I tempted. I'm going to focus on exersize, though, and portion control. How about you?

Gee C and A's Mom it has been awhile! I find that stressors can get us down and add the weight; not like it is magic just because we don't eat right, we eat too much and all that jazz. I lost both parents and 2 cousins within 12 months time-and I am now very convinced that my extra poundage came from that!
You know I am an exercise physiologist, fitness/dance professional--which means I know alot about what I and others are doing to sabatoge our health and most of it has to do with what we eat and how much we workout--when those 2 things are not in balance neither is our weight and when our weight is whacked other health aspects get whacked as well (whacked being a highly technical term)--- Anyway, when I found the bloodtype diet because I KNEW that the traditional RDA diets that I have actually taught just do not do the trick.
When I just get lazy and or enticed by good smelling something or other--it really impacts my stomach. I think AB stomachs are more easily upset than other types (at least my daughter's and mine are more touchy than the rest of the family) So if we prepare food we can eat, the other's are fine, but not the other way around. So, cook for the ABs in the house and the rest of the family should do well--
I have some great abdominal exercise tips if you would like me to send them I would be happy to; also I recommend Billy Bank's amped up workouts-not expensive and are very effective! He teaches well and it is a darn good sweat. Highly recommend it--also SOUL SWEAT by Chantel--great dance/exercise tape-she teaches it well and you sweat--good mix of 2 totally different types of movement but both are great. I got Soul Sweat because my daughter (fashion designer) created the workout clothes for the video and I wanted to watch them move--then loved the moves so I do them too-yes, wearing Autumn Teneyl Designs--very fun.
I ATE ORANGES AND HAD MIMOSIA this weekend, messed up my stomach, felt terrible--just getting back to feeling normal today (Tuesday) imagine what the other DON'T EAT THIS AB--stuff is doing to us without the major reaction-just quietly screwing up our delicate systems....
Let me know if you want the Zgirl ab techniques they are good --

Wow! I poked around & found you all! I have Thomas' site on my favorites. Boy is it good to see some action on this board!! My AB hubby's stomach is more sensitive than my O one, that's for sure. He can't eat things that sit out too long. Even tho more than a year went by, 2 of you hooked up! I just love message boards. They can do that. If you want to try the dadamo.com board (that's a huge one, but easy once you learn it), log in & see if you like it. I tend to go more toward the 'off topic' threads more often. Peppermint Twist is there in all of her glory!! If I forget to return, be appraised that Thomas' b'day is the same as mine, Oct. 6, but only 16 years younger LOL!! I want to keep on encouraging him!! Cheers, everyone!! ABs are interesting, but Os rule!! Sea Salt & Light, Mrs "T" O+
